The State Library of New South Wales is a spacious, quiet public workspace with free Wi-Fi, desks and power in the Mitchell Building on Shakespeare Place. Onsite services include printing, copying and scanning, plus accessibility features such as step-free entry, lifts and accessible toilets. Typical public hours are Mon–Thu 9am–8pm, Fri 9am–5pm, weekends 10am–5pm (check the Library site before visiting). Current works mean study rooms are temporarily unavailable, but reading rooms and galleries remain open via the Mitchell entrance. A reliable CBD spot for focused work with excellent transport links.
